19th Annual Mary Diaz & William Copeland Jr. Memorial Tennis Tournament
Ohio State University, July 18-19, 2025 - Tournament Wrap-Up
Many thanks to everyone who helped make the 19th Annual Mary Diaz & William Copeland, Jr. Memorial Tennis Tournament a success. Over 100 tennis players came to participate in doubles drills, enjoy pizza, and catch up with friends on Friday evening, July 18th, at Northam Park. It was a great day for tennis on Saturday, July 19th. One hundred and fifty players participated in round-robin doubles play at The Ohio State University. During the afternoon, players took a break from play to hear from Dr. Ann Noonan of The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center and to learn about the tournament honoree, Roslee Jaars-Meyer. The end of the tournament picnic featured the presentation of two awards. The Sue Simon Spirit Award was given to Caitlin Kelleher in honor of her long-time enthusiastic commitment to the tournament. And the Ezekiel Davis Sportsmanship Award was presented to Chloe McClymont, whose positive attitude and respect for her opponents are evident every time she steps on the court. To date, the 19th annual tournament has raised over $72,000 to support, treat, and cure those affected by pancreatic cancer. A big shout-out to everyone who came out to support the cause!
